Where the name comes from
The company takes its name from the anthem “Above All Else” and from a prophetic word given by minister Juanita Bynum in 2019. That is not decoration on a business plan. It is the standard the work is measured against, and it is why the name is a promise rather than a label.

Above All Else Entertainment, LLC is an entertainment company based in Goldsboro, North Carolina. We run four production lines: DJ, VJ and karaoke, event sound and lighting design, live entertainment and promotions, and multi-camera live streaming. Most clients hire us for two or three of them at once, which is the whole point. One team, one invoice, one number to call when something needs to change at six o’clock.

In practice that means we load in early, we tune the room instead of trusting a preset, and we stay on the floor for the whole event rather than setting levels and disappearing. Mission
Run every event as if our name is on the invitation, because it is. That means tuning the room instead of trusting a preset, building the music around the people actually in front of us, and cueing the lighting to the moments that matter. It means telling a client no when a plan will not work, and staying on the floor until the last song rather than setting levels and leaving. And it means connecting the hosts, the performers and the guests, so the night feels like one thing rather than a program happening at people.
Vision
Be the company North Carolina calls first, and make distance stop deciding who gets to be in the room. Streaming is not a bolt-on for us. A grandmother two states away should see the first dance at the same second the people on the floor do, and hear it the way the room hears it.
What clients said afterward.
Our gala was the first one where people did not start leaving at nine. I do not know what they did to the lighting but the room looked like a different venue by dessert. Our offices overseas watched the whole thing live.
They played our list. That sounds like a low bar until you have been to a wedding where the DJ played his.
I had run this fundraiser four times before and it was the first year I got to sit down. Donors stayed through the ask, which never happens, and the people watching from home actually gave.
Outdoor sound is usually a compromise. Ours was not. Every act started on time, nothing cut out, and I never once had to go find somebody.
Half our attendees were on a screen and none of them acted like it. Questions came in from both rooms and got answered in the same conversation. Numbers landed in my inbox before I had finished breakfast.
